Nomination Papers Available

The Danforth Town Office has officially announced the opening of the nomination process for upcoming municipal and school board vacancies. Beginning Wednesday, February 18, 2026, local residents interested in running for public office can pick up nomination papers directly from the town hall.

This year’s open seats include two positions on the Board of Selectmen, one carrying a two-year term and another for a one-year term, as well as a three-year seat for a school director for RSU/MSAD 14 board. To qualify for the ballot, candidates must return their completed nomination papers to the town office no later than Monday, March 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

Voting for the open seats will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026, with the election polls open to the public from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The annual town meeting will reconvene the following morning, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., where residents will deliberate and vote on the remaining articles of the town warrant.
