Fall is the perfect time to get out and enjoy the Harlow Trail in Danforth before winter sets in. Just a mile from East Grand School on Route 1, this 3-mile loop winds through old-growth forest and circles the Witcher Bog, offering a peaceful walk surrounded by the slowly deepening colors and increasingly crisp air of autumn.
Originally built through a community effort involving East Grand School, local organizations, and the Baskahegan Company, the trail continues to serve both recreation and education. Harlow Trail is a gem worth visiting for a quiet fall hike now, and revisiting for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing later in the season. Don’t let the few remaining warm days slip away. Lace up your boots and get outdoors!
